I believe that Pollock meant that every good painter paints his or her perspective, how they see the world. Their artwork portrays their personality, how they feel, and how they see everything around them. This applies to me as an artist because this is something that every artist, including myself, should strive for. I work toward expressing my personality and how I see the world around me in my art. By doing this any piece of art becomes more meaningful to the artist and to those who see it. Megan
I believe that Pollock meant that every good painter paints from their life. In day to day life, an artist should find inspiration around them and use their own creativity to put it in their art. I believe he meant that art is a way to express yourself and a good painter does that with everything they go through whether it is good or bad. This can apply to me as an artist to show me that no matter what happens, there is always a beauty to it for me to create. I believe that Pollock meant that there is creativity and inspiration in everything and everyone, but it's up to the painter to find it and make it their own.
I believe that Pollock meant that every painter paints from his or her experiences. They paint from their darkest times and their greatest moments. Some of the wolds best artwork come from very troubled people who paint from their past. It applies to me as an artist because I, also can paint from my dark times, and best moments, and really just paint everything that I am.
I believe that Pollock meant that every painter paints something that he or she is going through or what they are feeling. They can find inspiration in the way they feel or something that is happening in the world. This applies to me as an artist because every artist can create a masterpiece from anything they can think of and I really hope I am able to do the same. Sidney

What I think that this quote means is that any great artist pours their feelings and personality into their work. They allow their individual uniqueness and experiences to determine each and every one of the choices that shape their art into masterpieces. This applies to me because in every piece, one should try to express themselves and to leave pieces of their personality in their art, which is something I will be striving to do in the years to come. -Hannah
I think that Pollock meant that what we create as artists is apart of our life. Its not just the painting or drawing we make, but who we plan to become. There is always a meaning behind a piece of art and its who we are, and what's happening to us at the time in our lives. Great artists always make art in their saddest and happiest times. This portrays the image that "every good painter paints what he is." This quote applies to me as an artist because I create what I feel. I take something so simple and in my eyes there is a deeper meaning behind it. My art may not always be perfect but its who I am. I strive to create a story through my artwork. I want to continue and be the great artist that I know I can for many years to come.
In his quote, Pollock is explaining that an artist creates what he/she is. Their feelings, emotions, and experiences are all involved in the piece. You should be able to look at a piece of art and determine how the artist was feeling. Colors, shapes, and other elements can help you learn more about the artist and his/her work. I personally let my emotions lead me through my art. I put my life into what I create.
I believe that Pollock meant that we each paint things as we see them. We all see things differently and have different perspectives of things. I might emphasize something in a piece of art because I think that it important, where as someone else might emphasize something else that they thought was more important. We all feel different things so we will chose to add different textures, colors, and different objects. Everything that we do depends on who we are.
Pollock's quote explains how artists express themselves through art. By looking at an artists piece, you can tell how their feeling, and or the point they are trying to get across. This is a great idea because it gives artwork a little more meaning. It also shows you who the artist is without him coming out and saying it. It makes you wonder too.
I think what he means by this is that you can't just paint a random painting, you have to add a meaning to it. You tell stories through your art. You express who YOU are as a person. It shows what you feel about something. I tend to draw darker subjects because I think it has a bigger impact and has a deeper meaning to them. -Ally C.
I think Jackson Polluck means that you can get your best inspiration from your life. Anything that can happen to you can be turned into a piece of artwork, if you find enough inspiration in it. It's best to create from what you know, because it will feel more genuine and have more feeling with it. I put all my thoughts and feelings into my art. I want to be able to express myself through art and use it as a way to let people know about me.
I believe Pollock meant that every good painter paint what they are and who they are. The painter paint what the feel and how they see the world around. The painters have great paintings and not so greats paints and they so go through good and bad times of their life. This applies to me because I have good paints and not so good paints. I paint what I feel see around.
I think that Pollock's quote meant that good painters will paint how they feel. For example, if a painter feels very confident and bold, he will paint confident, bold pieces. This quote applies to me becasue I paint how I feel. If I feel angry or upset, I will paint sad, dull pieces. If I feel happy or joyful, I will paint playful, fun pieces.
